Benjamin Luke Storms
Brandon and I have a new nephew!! Benjamin Luke Storms. He arrived today at 12:01pm weighing in at 7 lb. 1 oz. and 19 in. long.
His big sister was disappointed not to get the little sister she was hoping for but Benjamin knew how to win her over with a fun gift. Bryce did not seem that worried, but he likes telling you he has a new baby.
We took a picture with all the kids, Bryce, Eli, Laura, and Benjamin but I don't think we got all of them looking the same direction at the same time. (Benjamin slept through the pictures.)
On another note. If you have ever heard me talk I tend to mispronounce words (like I misspell words). Well, it took me about a year to learn how to say Laura's name right (pronounced Lara). Now I have to learn how to say Benjamin. I tend to put an R in the middle of his name. My mom does the same thing so I don't feel too bad, but I promised Carrie to work on it!

Trip to the Zoo
Eli took his first trip to the zoo yesterday! He was not that interested in the animals but the people fascinated him. He slept for half the time and then sat back and people watched the rest of the time. We went with Amanda and Jane Wood. Amanda and I loved the exercise and Jane loved the animals. I know Eli will love the animals by this fall.
If you are going to go to the zoo more than a few times this summer I would encourage you to get a zoo pass, it is worth the money!! Amanda and I didn't feel bad about getting there at 2:00pm and leaving at 4:30pm because we know we will use the pass tons, plus the parking is free with a pass. We also love that there is lots of shade to walk in.
Again I will put up pictures when I learn how!

The Love Dare
Brandon and I are doing a great bible study with our small group. It is The Love Dare (from the movie Fire Proof). It has great dares you do for your spouse everyday for 40 days. We are on Day 10 now and so far so good. I love doing things for Brandon but the dares give me a certain thing to do everyday. The biggest thing that is coming from it is that I think about doing things for Brandon more often, not just for the dare.
One of the dares was to greet your spouse at the door with a positive comment. I used to meet Brandon at the door with a kiss ( I know mushy) everyday, but since Eli I don't even get off the couch when Brandon comes in. In my defense haft the time I am feeding Eli or doing something else that is Eli centered.
Anyway now my goal is to meet Brandon at the door with a smile each night when he gets home. He works hard all day for our family and I want him to know that I appreciate him. (Although tonight I was putting Eli down for a nap when he came in. Oh well there is always tomorrow night!)

It has started
I love to read every one's blogs about their kids and families and thought WOW I should be blogging also.
So... Eli is napping (most likely not for long) and I decided that today was the day I would start blogging.
The first thing I have to say is that I can't spell worth anything and I know it so don't bother telling me there are misspelled words on the blog. I will spell check and that helps but there will still be misspelled words and I don't want to hear about it.
I love staying at home with Eli but I still don't feel like I have time to do much. Eli will be 5 months old this week and he does not believe in taking long naps (short 1 hour max, a few times a day). But now that he is rolling over he likes playing on the floor more. If you put him in front of a mirror he will look at himself and laugh until he spits up all over himself then laugh some more. We are doing belly time more now also. Eli likes to super man (I'll put up some pics when I figure out how to) and spit up. The only bad thing about him being on his tummy is that when he spits up he then rubs his face in it (lovely).
Eli just started screaming so I have to go!!
