We have survived one year!!

On this day one year ago Brandon and I were in the hospital awaiting the arrival of baby Fleming. Although Brandon knew we were having a boy I would not find out until 12:31pm, when our little boy made his debut. I am sitting in the kitchen with Eli in his chair eating, or playing with his breakfast, thinking, what a joy the past year has been.

Eli is truly a blessing from the Lord. He is a happy baby even when he does not sleep! He loves playing and most of the time is content with anyone. Eli is not saying words but has been talking since he was only a few months old. I love when Eli discovers something new, he looks at it with such intensity right before he puts his new treasure in his mouth. Eli is not walking by himself but will walk pushing anything, wheels or no wheels (chairs, slides, non-rolling toys). He loves his new push lion because it plays music so he can dance his way across the room. He is even starting to figure out how to turn around when he runs into something.

Eli has grown over the last year:

Weight- started at 7.3 lb and is now 20.9 lb (20%)
Length- started at 17 1/2 in. now 29 1/2 in. (30%)
His head is in the 25% and has been around that since birth.

Happy Birthday Baby Boy!!

Parent Dedication

Brandon and I had the honor of going through a Parent Dedication for Eli. Our church has the parent dedicate themselves to raising their child in a Christ centered home. The service was wonderful, although Eli talked through it. The pastor read the scripture we chose for Eli, Psalms 16:1, and prayed for our family. We were joined by friends and family to celebrate this time. Thank you to all who were able to come!

Here are some pictures of the Dedication...

Why am I here?

I don't like the feel of this...

OK, maybe it is not so bad.
