Eli 22 months

A snap shot of Eli this month.....

Eli is loving playing outside with his bike and lawn mower. He has headed down the street to help the neighbor mow his lawn. He also likes to go on walks, sometimes with his mower and helmet on!
Eli is talking more and more. Eli has many more sentences and comes up with new ones all the time. He likes to parrots you (so watch what you say!!).
Eli still loves music and will ask for his music in the car. He always wants to listen to Imagination Movers. The show is not hard to watch although I limit Eli to two showes a day, but the music gets old in the car after listening to the same CD over and over and over.
I love when he points out the airplanes, trains, and mowers he sees or hears. (and he does this all day)
Eli also started Mother's Day out this month.

The big news this month is.........

Eli has been turned around in the car!!

You might wonder, Eli was still facing backward?? At 22 months??

And the answer is yes! The pediatrition recomended it until he was 2 years or not happy, Highway Safty recomneds 2 years, and others. So, I thought I would keep him backward until he was 2 years but with him getting taller he was getting unconfortable on any dinctince so we decided to turn him on his 22 month birthday. Almost 2 years!

A few pictures of Eli facing forward in his car seat.

September

September has been a busy month. Eli has loved school and mommy loves having a little free time. I have subbed a few days but am not planning on that full time. We welcomed baby Brock into the family, went camping, and had a few baby showers (all in earlier posts). Here are few pics of what we have been up to.

Family Round
Our church has a round up for young kids every few months. This was our first time to take the boys. They loved the music and getting to run free in the sanctuary.

Julia and Eli had a wonderful time while they (Melanie and Julia) were up here for Marisa's Shower. It was fun seeing they differences in little boys and little girls.

Baby, Baby, Baby

On September 7, 2010 Brock Lorkin Storms was born! He arrived at 11:43am, weighing in at 9 lb. 7 oz. and 21 inches long! He was 2 1/2 lb more than any of the other Storms babies! Mommy and baby did great!
Brandon, Eli, and I went to visit everyone in Tulsa. We enjoyed seeing Bryan and Carrie's new home and holding Brock.
In all the crazy I forgot to pull out the camera! I will have pictures of Brock soon!

A few weekends ago (I'm behind with post!) I helped host a baby shower at my house for one of my best friends Marisa! We had a wonderful time enjoying her reactions to all the 'Baby Stuff'. Many things she just laughed at asking what it was for! I can't wait until baby TJ (Thomas James) arrives sometime in November, I know Marisa will be a wonderful mommy.

After the shower we took another good friend out to dinner to celebrate her upcoming baby boy. Melanie is due in late November and we are excited to welcome her second baby!

Here are a few pics from the day.

Robinson Campout

Every September my family gets together for a big camp out on my Uncle Leon's land (my mom's brother). This year we stayed over night with Eli. Brandon and I slept in the back of my pilot (not something I'll do again any time soon) and Eli slept in the pack-in-play until 4:00am when the coyotes came out and scared him, he finished the night with us. Eli loved playing with the trucks and trackers that we had out there. He also loved the swing and had lots of great aunts to push him. We had a great two days of fun and family!

Here are a few pics of the weekend. (some taken by my niece Laura.

First Day of School!!

Eli started school this fall, or Mother's Day Out! He walked right in the first day, didn't even say bye to me!

At school ready to go in!

More to add...

After I posted about Eli's 21st month birthday I have been remembering other things I wanted to add to his "baby book blog".

-When daddy puts Eli down at night Eli asks for daddy to sing to him.
-Eli loves to pray before meals. He wants everyone to hold hands and then says AHEM! We sometimes have to pray several times before Eli is done.
-Anytime Eli hears an airplane he points up and says, "airplane". He also points out lawn mowers and calls them mow-mows. Eli also likes to watch trains and play with trains, he gets very excited when he hears a train and will yell, cho-cho.
-Eli loves to talk on the phone, if you hang up before he says good-bye he gets upset.
-Eli loves Imagination Movers. He will climb up on the couch and point to the TV and ask for Imaginations. He normally will watch a 20 minute show by himself!! Eli wants to watch all the time so we have limited him to 1 show in the morning and 1 in the afternoon, while mommy makes breakfast and dinner.

I'm sure that is not all but it is all I can thing of right now!

A snap shot of August

Eli has several friends that have started potty training and he loves the potty so I decided to start potty training. While potty training we did not leave the house much but Eli had friends over.

Here is him with one of his friends that is potty training!

Then another friend came over!

We gave up on potty training (for now) when Eli got double ear infections! Poor baby was not happy a week and had bathroom issues due to his meds.

By the end of the weekend Eli was feeling much better!

We went down to Austin (just north and east) to see Brandon's family and celebrate Aunt Pat's birthday.
Here is a picture with Grandma Liz and all her great great-children.

Uncle Gordan has fish ponds, so we took the kids out to feed the fish.

After feeding the fish, eating dinner, playing, and bath time, the kids played with the balloons. Here is a still of the craziness!

Eli loving it!

Every year the 'boys' have a big draft party, so last year I started a wives dinner the night before the draft. I was not able to make last years dinner but this year I make it! We went to Eddie Vs and had a great time!

With the hot temps, 101, and higher we are not spending a lot of time outside but when we do we keep cool by eating Popsicles.
The following is start to finish of a Popsicles!
