Easter

What a wonderful day to celebrate our Lord Jesus!

This year we helped tell the Easter story to Eli using 'The 12 days of Easter Eggs'. Each egg has a small part of the story, verse, and something to represent the story. Example, 3 dimes to represent the 30 pieces of silver. I taped everything to the window in the kitchen so we could go over the eggs each day. It is such a joy to teach my child the story of my Jesus!

For Easter this year we meet at our house on Saturday for some family time. Everyone headed to church that evening for a wonderful Easter service and then home for family pictures and dinner. Amy and I prepped everything before we left for church so it would not take long to get the food on the table. We also celebrated Mimi's birthday with flowers and cards!

Here are a few pics of the day....

We were still finding eggs the next week!!

Blue Bonnets

Not being from Texas I did not get the joy of Blue Bonnet pictures, at first. After over a decade in the state I am starting to understand how cute and fun the pictures are (or can be if everyone is happy).

I had the opportunity to keep Jane and Eloise Wood a few days and thought I would take the kids to a hill of blue bonnets for some cute pics. I was not crazy enough to take an almost one year old, almost three year old, and a two year old that likes to run away by my self, so I talked my sister into coming. With three kids and two cameras we set off!

Here are a few of the pics!

Jane and Eli climbing the hill.
What a lady Jane is holding her dress.

One of the few pics of Eloise not crying.
She did not like getting sat in the flowers!

The girls.

One of about 15 with all three kids. Not one pic has both older kids looking at the camera and Eloise was not a happy girl.

Thanks Aunt Kelsey for going with us to take pictures!!

Why??

So it has happened...

On April 12, 2011 Eli started asking the "WHY" question!!

He started asking his daddy why and it has not stopped.

My favorite today.

Me- Eli lets use the potty.

E-Why?

Me-Because big boys use the potty.

E- Why big boys use potty?

Me-That's what boys do when they get big.

E- Why?

Me- Because, just use the potty.

And so the "because" has started also.

March in Pictures

Brandon and I took Eli to his first TCU baseball game.

He thought it was amazing!

Daddy and Eli

Eating and cheering is hard work!
Eli wakes up when daddy starts his truck.

This is where Eli can be found most mornings, watching the street go to school and work! Eli and I had a great time at the zoo.

Of course we took a few train rides.
Grammy and Papa got Eli a basketball goal for Christmas.

He is loving it!

We went over to a good friends house to play one afternoon.

Eli and Lillie discussing play food.
Amy Curry and I took the boys to feed the fish.

They did great most of the day, although Eli did take off a few times!

Love this look on Hogan's face, what a cutie!
Eli trying to climb in the pond!
Brandon's grandparents, aunts, and uncle came up to enjoy a weekend with Tom and Tess.

We all headed over for an afternoon of fun and dinner.

Aunt Debbie got the kids some "ears". Here is Eli in his ears, although he calls them his HAT.

Georgia in her ears.
We went to the park for a bit. Georgia and Eli love the swings.
Brandon and I grew up a little and got a new "adult" couch.
Eli loves riding on the tractors at Lowes / Home Depot.

Here is daddy and Eli going for a ride.
We went to Lowes with Grammy and Papa and this is were we spent all our time.
Eli loves to mow. He spends most of his time outside mowing.
When he is not mowing he is working with his dump truck moving rocks from one place to another.
This is a picture of Eli in the WEEDS before daddy did his first mow!

Kinda looks like blue bonnets.
When we go to Wal-Mart the greeters always give Eli stickers.

They went a little nuts this day.
Blue Bonnet pics coming soon!

Update

We have had all the test run and the results are in....

1. DNA testing or karyotype, both male and female normal

2. Hysteroschopy (check of my uterus), normal

3. Pathology -

-Micah was a placenta malfunction, the placenta was enlarged from blood behind the uterus or from a problem with the cord. This is not common so hopefully will not be an issue for a future pregnancy.

-One of the miscarriages was likely genetic.

-One of the miscarriages is still unknown.

4. Blood work I had one more blood test done. I have a MTHFR mutation. This means I don't get enough folic acid. Folic acid helps the body absorb protein. It has been linked to miscarriages and birth defects but is not conclusive. This problem can be fixed with an extra folic acid vitamin.

Our next step will be to try at our own risk.

We will keep you posted in the coming months.

End of February

I know I am such a bad blogger!! I will try and play catch up a little at a time. Here is the end of February in pictures......
