My Christmas post is almost done!
My Rose Bowl post is coming!
Here is what is going on now and how we are doing....
Brandon and I found out we were pregnant in mid November. I got blood test right away that showed everything was ok. December 14th we went in for a Sono. The baby looked great and it had a good heart beat.
Last Friday I woke up in the early morning with cramps. I called my doctor about the cramps and they told me with my history I needed to come in.
The doctor checked me and all looked good. My sono from December showed that the placenta was in the front so we couldn't get a heart beat. Dr. Finke said I could get a sono to give me peace of mind.
I had to wait until the sono tech got back from lunch (so fun with Eli).
The sono tech that did my sono is the one that told us about Micah, and our November loss. She always tells us right away about the heart beat.
This time she did not say a word... I asked about the heart beat... and was told there is no heart beat.
She ran a few more test and confirmed that we had lost the baby between 9-10 weeks.
I decided to have a D&C this time. As many know I tried to go the natural way last time and that did not go well.
Monday I went in for the D&C. It was an out patient surgery done by Dr. Finke. I went home and slept most of the day. Brandon was wonderful and took care of Eli and me.
Today I feel much better. I am a little sore but I guess that is expected.
I go back to see Dr. Finke next week and then to a specialist.
As far as how we are emotionally.....
I think over all we are doing well. I have my moments and I'm sure Brandon does also. We have had a lot of time to talk and cry as needed. Every time we lose a baby it just makes Eli that much more special. We have a wonderful little boy.
Thank you everyone for all your prayers!! and continued prayers!
Thank you Bethany for picking me up and taking Eli to school today (I couldn't drive today).
Thank you Corrie for bringing Eli home from School!
Thank you Mimi for taking care of Eli during my surgery and for the soup.
