Eli 9 Months

Eli is 9 months old!! It seems like we just brought him home.
He is growing and very busy.
Stats as of August 24:
Head = 17 1/2 in = 25%
Length = 27 1/4 in = 15% (up from 10%)
Weight = 19lb = 25%
A few things we are doing now.
Eli is belly crawling, he is all over the house and can get around pretty fast.
Going from laying down to sitting up without help.
Eating fruit and yogurt.
Eli is trying to pull up on everything, window sills, the fireplace, chairs, me....
WE HAVE TEETH!! Eli is getting his two bottom front teeth.
Eli has always been a talker but now he says. ya, momma, and dada. (although he does not use his words in the correct context)

Pictures from this past month.

Family Time

A few weeks ago Brandon, Eli, and I headed south to visit family. Brandon's aunts and grandparents live just north of Austin.

Charlotte, one of Brandon's cousins, was in town from Montana, with her son Tristan. Tristan is three weeks older than Eli. It was great to see the boys interact especially when you added Georgia to the mix.

We had a great time with all the family hanging out and eating (what we do best!).

Here are a few pics of the kids playing in a baby pool.

Eli's Belly Craw

Here is Eli doing his version of crawling.

The funny thing is I can only get him to craw for his paci. I have tried other toys, food, and me, but he will only go for his paci!

At the end of his craw he has a big decision to make, "what paci should I chew on??"

Girls Trip

Last weekend I went on my third annual Girls Trip.
I left Eli in the wonderful hands of his daddy, Sweets(Brandon's mom), and Flash (Brandon's dad) and headed south to the Horseshoe Bay Resort.
Marisa, Katherine, Courtney, and I drove down and picked up Melanie and Jill at Melanie's house. We ate lunch in a cute restaurant in Georgetown before making the last leg of the journey to the resort. After arriving we changed and headed to the pool for some relaxing.
Friday night we ate a the 'Yacht Club' on site.
The food was wonderful (everything but Marisa's Chicken)!
Here we are all dresses up.

On Saturday a few of us headed to the spa for massages and pedis, everyone else headed to the pool. After the spa we meet at the 'beach' for some lunch and decided to head out for a few wine tastings.
Here we are at one winery.

Saturday night we ate at a local place on the lake then headed back for some "Apples to Apples"! A great card game that we all loved!
(we also stayed up until 1 am the night before playing)

On Sunday we headed home but not before we stopped at the Blue Bonnet Cafe for breakfast!
It is a great place, but the best is the pie!!

I loved having time to catch up with the girls. Even with our lives in all different places we still find we have tons in common and love spending time together.

I want to take a moment to brag on my girls!

Marisa will be finishing her Masters in ESL education this year,
while working full time. ( I think that is right?)
Courtney opened her own law firm this time last year and is
doing wonderful! (if you need a lawyer let me know, she is great!)
Katherine is starting her third year as a OBGYN resident in Minnesota and got married this year! (we can't wait until you come home to Texas)
Jill is a reporter and anchor for a station in Knoxville Tennessee and she also got married this year! (I have had the pleasure of seeing her on set and WOW is all I can say)
Melanie is doing a wonderful job raising her 11 month old daughter and is still using her artistic abilities painting free lance. (If you have not seen her work you are missing out, Eli has a wall hanging in his room Melanie did)

It is amazing having such talented friends! Thank you for sharing the weekend with me!
