Caught in the Act

A few days ago Brandon and I 'lost' Eli in the house. I thought he was in the playroom with daddy and Brandon thought Eli was with me. I went looking for him and found him in his favorite hiding place with daddy's phone. Here is the evidence!!

I only got one picture before he saw me!
Hiding with daddy's phone
Eli thinks a smile with get him out of anything, and most times he is right!

Hanging with my bro

So one of my best friends is Hogan. We like to hang out and share our milk and pacis. Our mom's took us to Steak'n Shake after they made us go look at another house. We had a lot of fun, they tried to get us to look at the camera but we had talked about it and decided we would not play their game. We had a great time, me throwing my food and Hogan eating his food (not sure why he is bigger than me?) We also had fun playing with the trucks my mom keeps in "the bag". Here are a few pics of the day.

Baby Time and Turning 30!

My good friend Nicky is having a little girl some time in late May or early June. We celebrated the baby at her shower a few weeks ago. It was so fun to see her pregnant! We are so excited for her and Jeff!!

Amy, Nicky (mom to be), Amanda (also a mom to be), and Deborah

Later that same day....
I had a wonderful dinner with a couple of girl friends to celebrate 30 years of age! Happy Birthday Courtney!! It was wonderful to have a night out to talk and eat without kids!!

Where was Eli you ask?? Brandon was Super Dad and had him, all day by himself, out of the house (because of showings), with a short nap!! Thanks, Baby for everything you do to make life wonderful!!

17 months

Align Center
WOW!!
Eli is 17 months old.
A few pictures.....
Eli with his mower

Eli's new "smile" face, no smile just closed eyes!

At his water table

This was the first thing Eli did when I filled the table. He likes to blow bubbles!

The first pic of the day!

Eli has been walking for awhile but this month he has started running. It is kinda a waddle run, and very cute. He loves being outside, the mower is the favorite toy outside but Eli enjoyed his water table also! Eli's favorite things are trucks(or anything that rolls like a truck), water, dancing (music), and playing ball. Eli has learned to open drawers and can also open all the door in our house. I have was going to child proof the drawers and doors but with us moving in a few weeks decided it was not worth the expense. (He can't get things out of the kitchen drawers and our door knobs are different from the ones in the new house). I do have to go looking for Eli every so often but he is easy to find, he gets something he is not allowed (cell phone or remote are favorites) and hides behind the rocker in his room!
Eli words: mama, dada, ball, no, yea, please (signing), ruf-ruf (anytime he hears or sees a dog he barks), bye-bye (and he waves), and Uh-O
He is also trying to copy what we say, names of people, food, ect....
He is learning to throw fits when he does not get his way, Brandon and I try to ignore him, when we do he gets over it. He has also spent some time in timeout but not often.
Over all Eli is happy and active. He loves to give kisses and cuddle. We play ball often. Eli uses the fire place as a stage and dances to any music (even mom singing). I try to get Eli outside everyday, but the weather does not always let us. Eli carries a car or truck around often. I have found some in the laundry, stepped on one in the bathroom, and crawled half way under the bed to get one, but Eli always knows where to find another truck or car!

Where to live??

So, by Saturday we had had seven people look at the house and had two offers. We accepted one on Sunday and are under contract. The appraiser comes tomorrow and Friday the inspector comes.
If all goes well we will close May 28th!!

That means we need to find a house and soon!! We start looking tomorrow in person, we have been online looking for awhile.

I'll keep you updated on how the house hunt is going!

Here are a few pics of Eli

Here are a few pictures of Eli... ENJOY
Eli sitting in his lazy boy

Eli's friend Hogan came over to play...
Not sure if Eli likes sharing his climber

Both boys are on the move now...

Getting them to sit of a picture was a bit hard

Eli eating yogurt with a spoon, using a spoon is a new thing so it is a bit of a mess.

The Mess

Eli loves books and often brings me one to read, he reads to me

(or at least talks as he turns pages)

Eli's new green ball he got for Easter... Is the ball bigger than him??

Look I am bigger than the ball

Eli and I headed to the park to swing

Aunt Kelsey took Eli into the play area at Chick-fil-A

Eli smiling for the camera

Eli can see daddy down there but can't get to him...

Eli kicked back at the zoo, waiting on the train

Trying to get a bird to eat out of his hand

On the train for the first time

He loved standing up watching things go by

All smiles for the train

Water anyone??

It all started with a walk...
After dinner at Jo Ts, Jane wanted to go for a walk. Amanda got her out of her high chair and off they went. Eli seeing that Jane got to get out wanted to get out also. After finding Amanda and Jane in the crazy mess of gardens and people that Jo Ts is, the kids found a fountain.
This is what happens when toddlers get around water!!
First there was just Jane and Eli

Then came Hogan with Jane and Eli still splashing away...

A few other kids wanted to join but their parents aren't as great as Amy, Amanda, and I...
or maybe they are not as crazy??

I don't have pictures but we stripped Eli down at the table and Hogan was carried out shirtless, white trash? I think not!
(Jane went to the car to change like a lady.)

House for Sell!!

Brandon and I have been talking about putting the house on the market for almost two years. It all started right after we lost Micah, but we just talked.

Until this past month!
We started making plans. We had the kitchen floor redone.... and the house painted.
Before

After....
The main wall color stayed the same but the kitchen color changed! I tried five different colors and this was the best green, of so I thought! I don't like it but I hope someone else loves it!!

The pictures does not show the house ready to be shown but I wanted you to see the floors and paint.
Now the house is on the market. We have had two people look at it so far and another is scheduled! If you know anyone who wants to buy a house in Bedford send them our way!!

Thanks Hogan for the mower so I can be like daddy!!

The Wedding Season Continues

And so it continues..... We have made it to to the middle of this wedding season, we have three down and three to go (although two of the next three we are only guest, not participants).

This past weekend Brandon was in his good friend David McGuffee's wedding. It was a beautiful wedding with lots of friends to celebrate. The boys enjoyed dancing while the wives enjoyed talking. I loved seeing all the ladies with big bellies!! It was good to see Nicky for the first time pregnant! Amanda Wood and Amanda Sivak were also supporting the baby belly trend. (I told you we were also in the season of babies!!)

I do not have any pictures, I forgot my camera, but a friend is going to send me a few to post!!

He Has Risen!!

HE HAS RISEN!!

Happy Easter to everyone!
What an amazing day to celebrate the Resurrection of our Lord. When I think of what Christ went through on the cross for me I am humbled. When I think of the sacrifice that God made in sending His Son knowing what He would go through I am horrified. I know that sounds dramatic but looking at my sweet Eli I can't imagine sending him to a place where he would be killed in such a way, I don't like the thought of sending Eli to school were he could get his feelings hurt much less any bodily harm.
Our paster said something that really hit home today. He had us look at the empty tomb (a picture on the front of the bulletin) and then look at the list of "In Memory" Easter Lillies. He said, that Christ has risen, the tomb is empty, but our loved ones are still in the tomb, they will never be forgotten and someday will raise in bodily form with Christ (if they were Christians). What a wonderful hope that gives me. I will hold my baby again, I will see my grandparents again, and when I see them they will be in a perfect body. WOW! The joys Christ gave us on the cross!
Today we went to church as a family then worked the nursery.
Here are a few cute pics of Eli in his Easter clothes!

Sorry about the crazy red eye!

On Saturday night we went to Church with Mike, Amy, Georgia, Tom, and Tess. We then headed home for a wonderful meal. We did not get a family pic with everyone but here are a few with Eli and Georgia.

Loven on each other.

Sorry about the color and red eyes, but I thought the hug was so cute!

And of course the 'I am going to get you' picture!

The Lord Has Risen!!
