Happy Birthday my Angel

Today I want to remember my sweet baby boy, Micah Thomas.
Born three years ago today at 1:33pm, 6 lb. 13oz. 19in long.

I can't believe it has been three years since I held you in my arms. Not a day goes by that I don't think about you. Sometimes in joy knowing you are with my Heavenly Father. Sometimes with a sad heart because I will not get to see you grow up. As I hold your little brother I wonder who you would be. Would you be a cuddler, love cars, trains, and planes? Would you love to play ball and run?

I love you Micah and always will. You hold a part of my heart. I am so thankful for the opportunity I was given to carry you beneath my heart and feel you move within me. For being able to hold you for a short time.

Thank you Lord for giving me the hope and reassurance that I will hold my baby again in Your Kingdom.

Happy Birthday Angel!

Two Year Fun

Things Eli is doing at two years.
-As we drive along Eli points out things like, motorcycles, big trucks, tractors, buses, trains, and airplanes.
A conversation we might have:
E- "Mama a tractor"
M-"Yes, Eli, I see the tractor"
E- "Another tractor mama, another"
M-"You want to see another tractor?"
E- "Yes"
then when we see one
E-"Another tractor, another!"
We have this conversation with all of the above things. We live by an airport so planes are often seen and there is lots of construction so tractors are all over the place.

-When we exit from the highway Eli says buy buy to all the cars. Also when we go over a train track and there is no train, I hear "Trains go buy buy" or "Trains night-night"

-Eli can recognize peoples cars. He saw Amanda pull into the zoo across the parking lot and started saying "Jane's car, Jane's car!" He also knows his Aunt Kelsey's, mimi's, daddy's, and papa's cars.

-Eli lets you know if it's sunny or windy.

- Eli knows some colors some days. Blue is his favorite right now.

-Eli says "good job" when he does something he knows is right or when someone else does something he likes or wants them to

-When people laugh Eli says "funny"

-Eli says "No mama stop" when I do something he does not like. I hear this a lot when I hold daddy's hand.

-When someone coughs he asks if they are ok? (we asked him this when he had his bad cough). He also will say "Eli ok" or "I ok" when he falls down even if we do not ask him.

-Eli lines up all his cars, trucks, and trains then drives them to a new spot.

-He jumps on both feet. Eli likes to jump off the curb while holding your hand and then jumps for the next few steps.

-Eli wants to know where "it" went. "Where the airplane go?" "Where the train go?" and so on.

-He is saying doggy instead of wolf-wolf more often. and choo-choo train not just choo-choo.

-Eli is wanting to be a big boy and will say "Eli get it mama"

-When asked to pick up he sings the "clean up" song. Eli helps pick up but if I'm not fast he will dump everything out again as soon as he finishes cleaning.

That is all I have for now......

Eli had his two year well child check on December 1st. They had him put on a gown so he would stay warm while waiting for the doctor.

So cute!

Stats:
28 lb 51%
34 in 47%
The doctor said he is projected to be 5 ft 8 going by his height now, but she thinks he will be a bit taller due to daddy's height.

I had lots of questions about milk, teeth, his cough, paci, and more.
Eli gets to go to 2% milk, he will need to get his teeth cleaned in late summer, he will have the cough on and off the rest of the winter, he needs to lose the paci (he only gets one at night and naps but it is time to give that up), and he is ready to start potty training when ever I am ready.
With Christmas coming and Eli sleeping other places than his bed we decided to wait until after the holidays to work on the paci and potty training.

Choo-Choo Birthday

Eli had his second birthday party on November 20th! Eli is very into trains right now so we had a train theme. It was a wonderful day and most of the party was outside.

Eli wanted to hold Eloise. He was so excited about "Jane's Baby"

Eli has has had a cough for awhile now. But on the 13th it got really bad so we took him to a Cook Childern's clinic. The doctor found that he had Bronchiolitis. He has been using a nebulizer once or twice a day since. Our pediatrician says he will have the cough on and off all winter, so sad.
Here is daddy and Eli getting his meds.

Amy Curry and I took the boys on a train ride while the weather was nice.
(see pick at top)

Eli got some popcorn at the mid-way station.

Amy, Hogan, and Eli

We went to Oklahoma City of Thanksgiving with the Robinson family (my mom's family).
In the past the cousins have played football, but the new generation took over this year.

Here is Benjamin taking the ball

The fight for the ball, Eli, Bryce, and Benjamin
And Bryce won!

Eli finally got control of the ball and did not want to give it up.

I took Eli to the zoo the week of Thanksgiving to ride the train. He told me, "mama sit here" and patted the set. He then climbed on the set across from me. He would not sit with me, my baby is growing up!
Eli sitting all by himself

Amanda Wood celebrated her birthday with a Wigs and Wine party.
Here is Eli in his wig.

And the family, Eli, daddy, and mama

Georgia left her bounce house with Eli after his party so he could play with it. We set it up in the living room for Eli to play!
He loved it!!

I love this pic of Eli working so hard!

Eli in his new car!
We went to Austin (or just north of it) for the Fleming Thanksgiving.
Eli, Papa Bill, and Grandma Liz

Tristan was there and the boys had a great time playing together.

Eli walking in daddy's boots!

We went to lunch with the Woods and Sewells.
Jane did a little pole dance for Eli after dinner.

At the zoo last week Eli found the Wells Fargo Stage Couch.

A few pics

I took Eli down to Burleson to see all my friends a few weeks ago. He played on the play ground with the 5th graders (don't worry he had a least 3-5 girls following him at all times).
Eli also got a little taste of kindergarten. He sat on the rug and listened to about half the book while Mrs. Kiser read.

My dad had knee surgery a few weeks ago and while I was there helping Eli got to play and entertain. Lauren's mom came over and took care of Eli during dad's surgery, thank you!
He loves shooting baskets .

And the slide is always a hit!

We went to dinner with Mike, Amy, and Georgia last weekend.
The kids loved looking at the fish.

Halloween 2010

Halloween this year was great fun! Eli got to wear his costume three different times and looked so cute.

I took Eli up to Brandon's work for some trick-or-treating. Each group in Brandon's office decorates and dresses up in different themes.
They won for the second year in a row!

Eli and Daddy as Buzz Light Year.

On Saturday night we went a Halloween party at the Skasko's new house. We enjoyed seeing their beautiful new home and the TCU game!

Here is a pic of the kids. (No pic of Brandon and I, not blog friendly)
Eli, Hogan Curry, Jacob Sivak holding his baby sister Avery
Yes, Hogan and Eli's costumes were planned. My mom made the boys M&M costumes.

Thanks Mom / Grammy!!

Sunday Eli and Hogan went trick-or-treating together (or they started together)!
Eli wanted to go inside to every ones house. Hogan wanted to run down the street!

Here are the boys at the start of the night.

Hogan's grandma (Mimi) got the boys their trick-or-treat bags. They reflect and have their names on them!

Thank you Mimi!!

October and 23 months!

Warning VERY Long Post!!

So, I am a bit behind on my posts. Here is what we have been up to over the past month and a look at Eli, 23 months!!

Daddy and Eli playing golf

On the way to school the sun gets in Eli's eyes so he asks for his glasses! He does not wear them right most of the time but loves to hold them.

Amy and I took the boys to the pumpkin patch this year. We thought we would get a few good pics and let Hogan and Eli jump in the bounce house.
The bounce house was great....

Best Friends

Getting the cute pumpkin pis we wanted was a little harder. The boys can walk this year and don't stay still long.

We took the boys to lunch after the pumpkin patch and they still had energy to play more!

Blake and Lauren were in Oklahoma one weekend and we all got together at her parents house on Saturday and my parents on Sunday.
Eli loved the tractor at Lauren's house.

The next weekend we all went to Las Vegas to see Blake and Lauren (this was planned before they knew they could come back to OK).
Eli took his last plane ride as a lap baby. One reason is that he will be two soon, the other is that keeping an active little boy on your lap for three hours without bothering others around you is impossible! Thank goodness for portable DVD players.

Here is daddy showing Eli a new toy!

While there we went to a fall festival near Blake and Lauren's home.
Here is Eli at the petting zoo.

Aunt Lauren and Eli

Eli sitting on a mechanical bull. He did just sit on it.

Since Blake and Lauren won't be back for Thanksgiving and Eli's birthday they had a few things for him to open.

He is loving this block puzzle

Eli loves some cake!

The last day we were there I tried for the mother of the year award.
Eli did not get the time change (2 hours) so got up at 6am after being up off and on all night with a cough. I set up the DVD player with Imagination Movers, where he could not reach it, left him in his pack-in-play, and went back to bed.
Later at lunch we went to In-Out Burger. Eli did not like his burger and only wanted fries. I let him have fries and a milk shack for lunch. We did not fly in until 10 pm and Eli did not sleep at all on the plane and only had a 30 min nap all day. After we got back, Brandon took Eli to the doctor for his flu shot and to check out his cough (that he still had), he had double ear infections.
See Mother of the Year!

Here he is enjoying lunch!

Eli 23 months!
Eli is very into animals, planes, trains, and buses. He still loves music and playing ball. He is talking even more and has started singing a lot. He asks where people are all the time, even when he has not seen them for awhile. He can also pick people and himself out in pictures. He is understanding that some people go together, like Bryce and Benjamin, Papa and GiGi (Grammy but Eli can't say it), Georgia and YaYa (Aunt Amy), and Hogan and Shack (Amy Curry, known at Aunt Shack). Eli loves school and does not even say bye most days (or he does over his shoulder as he heads to the play area). He likes to line his animals and trucks up along a wall or on a table then he moves them a few at a time and lines them up some place else. He is very perticular (sp?) about this and wants no help! My favorite thing he is doing is that he will clean up! He sings a song and puts all the toys back in the bucket (he sometimes turns the bucket over as soon as it is full but I can grab it most times).

Here is my only pic of him on his 23rd month b-day. Thanks YaYa for the tutu!

Amanda and I took the kids to the Arboretum in Dallas. The kids had their faces painted first thing then we took some pumpkin patch pictures! So cute!!

There was a music program while we were there. Here are a few pics of the kids dancing with the instructor.

The kids loved playing in the Texas home area
