Eli 20 months

Eli is almost 21 months old now but since I use this as a baby book of sorts I wanted to post something about his 20th month of life!

Eli is talking up a storm (his mother's child). His vocabulary has grow so big that I can't count the words. He tends to repeat things he hears and picks things up we didn't know he knew. Example: He handed me a play cup and said "hold cup". I did not know he knew cup or understood for me to hold it! He is also stringing words together, like "where is it?" "I don't know?" and "where it go?".

Eli loves to play ball and will play catch with daddy or me. He also, thinks everything can be thrown and gets things taken away (like toy cars) when he thorws them.

Eli still loves music and will stop and dance to anything. His favorite books right now are all sing along books, The Wheels on the Bus, Old McDonold, and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. I love when Eli gets a book and climbs up in my lap to read. He always ask for more, more, when I am done (he does not know I can't carry a tone or tune, but Brandon does and just laughs).

Eli has loved his new back yard, we try and play outside every afternoon/evening depending on the temp!

Eli is also a water baby and loves to swim, although he wants to be hanging onto someone if he is in the big pool. He spends a ton of time in the water table, yes IN the water table. Eli has also started taking showers. It started as a way to get a fast clean after a meal by throwing him in with mom or dad, but now he sometimes takes one by himself. I have toys in the shower for him to play with and I just stand at the door to wash him then let him play for a bit while I get ready. I know it is a wast of water but it buys me five minutes to get dressed without help!

Eli is also still climbing. I turned around from getting something out of the frig to him standing on the kitchen table reaching for the light. I did not scream but walked over and got him down, then got onto him. He has lost his chairs because he uses them to climb on something else all the time. He keeps me on my toes!

Here are a few pics of Eli on his month birthday!
