The boys meet for the first time in December 2008. They were maybe a few weeks old. They have been friends since.
They play like brothers. And fight like brothers. Eli knows just how to push Hogan's buttons and Hogan can do the same to Eli.
It was a forced friendship at first, Amy and I always put them together but now its a true friendship. Eli asks about Hogan and Hogan asks about Eli. They expect to see each other at music and Sunday school.
They can and do get into trouble together.
Here is one such "trouble" time......
Amy brought the boys over for dinner and to play while the Big Boys played poker at a friends house. After dinner, playtime, and baths Amy and I sent Hogan and Eli downstairs to play / clean up toys while we cleaned up upstairs.
We can hear them laughing and yelling but it's all play so no worries, right?
Oh, no.
As we come down stairs we notice the Boys throwing what looked like bouncy balls at each other (there is an abundance of bouncy balls at our house) but these are not bouncy balls.
Eli had ask Hogan if he wanted a snack, of course he did. So Eli got the container of grapes out of the frig. I had just washed the grapes that afternoon so the container was full.
They pour out the grapes on the coffee table to eat. But they can't eat them all so why not throw them?
So the mommies walk in to them stuffing a handful of grapes in their mouth, then throwing a handful.
The boys thought this was great fun until they got caught, the mommies were not as pleased.
We found grapes all over the living room, under the kitchen table, clear to the laundry room.
As unhappy as I was about the grapes I love that our boys can have fun like that together.
