So, Eli turned 2 1/2 in late May and I am just getting this posted in early July?? Behind much??
Here are a few things that we want to remember about Eli at this age...
The things he says,
After telling you 'his plan' he says "does that sound like a good idea to you?"
Example: Mommy, I take a nap, then get a cookie, then go outside to paint. Does that sound like a good idea to you?"
When Eli wants to see a police car/ fire truck/ ambulance/ train, he calls them like a pet.
Example: "Here police car, police car, here police car!"
When Eli is tired of his car seat he yells, "Mommy, I stuck, I stuck" to let me know he can't get out.
Eli says this all in one breath as fast as he can, when saying good-bye, "bye-bye guys, have a good time, see you later"
When he sees someone he knows out he says "you come to see me"
Example: We saw Hogan at church for music class, Eli runs up to him and says "Hogan, You come to see me!"
"Mommy no talk, I talk to you" He has done this a few times now and then will talk to me about anything for the next half hour! Guess he comes by it naturally.
After telling me or daddy what he wants to do or eat he adds "got it" to the end.
Example: "I want mat-E-os (tomatoes), grapes, cheese, and chicken for lunch, got it?"
And the best....
"Poop-cough" this means fart at our house.
Things he likes/loves:
To Eat:
fruit, raw veggies, chicken, pepperonis, cookies, nuggets from 'Donalds'
To do:
He loves playing trains and building his track, we had to push the train table into the corner so he could build on the floor he was building the tracks so big. He likes to use every piece of track he has.
He loves the water but does not like to go under.
Eli loves playing outside, basketball, "baseball" using his basketball and a baseball bat (it looks more like golf), chalk with paint brushes and water, and of course mowing.
He loves seeing trains, tractors, police cars, ambulances, fire trucks, airplanes, and motorcycles. He points them out, tells you what color they are, if they are resting (not moving) or going fast, and will ask to 'go get them' if we see them driving in front of us.
Eli loves ridding the bus from the remote lot into church.
The Zoo is also still a favorite place to go. He has an order that he wants to see the animals in and once he sees all the animals he want he tells me it is time to go home. We spend about two hours each time seeing 'his animals' and then ride the train and go home.
Big events that have happened:
We took Eli's paci away. The first few nights and nap times were very hard but now he is doing great, sleeping better through the night, and does not ask for it anymore!
Eli seems to be scared of horses. He is worried that the horses will get him at night. He builds a perimeter around himself in bed with his animals, pillows, and blanket. He does not seem to be waking up because of them, they are just a worry.
Eli has started praying at night without our help. He always thanks Jesus for playing outside and what he did outside, to keep him safe, and have a good night. He ends with a big AMEN!!
Eli found his pockets and likes to walk around with his hand(s) in his pockets. He also likes to put things in them (no live things yet!).
