Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day!!

Mother's Day, what a wonderful day. Last Mother's Day was bitter sweet, Brandon and I had just found out we were expecting again, but that did not take the sting out of not having Micah with us.

What a great time to celebrate being a mother. I love spending my days loving on Eli. He is such a sweet, happy baby boy (at least most of the time). I love the smiles he gives me when we dance together or when he tries to turn the pages (or is he trying to eat the pages?) when I read to him. He even sequels happily when I sing to him! I love watching him learn new things and discover things. I thank the Lord for the blessing of my son.

Mother's Day Weekend was wonderful. Brandon took me on a date on Friday night, Sweets (Brandon's Mom) and Flash (Brandon's Dad) kept Eli. We went to a nice dinner and then to a chocolate shop. We walked around South Lake Town Center holding hands and just being a couple. It was perfect.

On Saturday we did a fun run with Brandon's parents, Mike, Amy, and the kids (Georgia and Eli). Tess or Sweets broke out the double stroller and off we went, walking not running but who cares at 8:30 on a Saturday morning!
After the run or walk we went to lunch at Jo T's, and it was perfect patio weather!!

Sunday was a fun but interesting day. When we went to drop of Eli in the nursery at church there was no room! They were short on volunteers so Brandon and I stayed and worked the nursery through both services! It was a loud but fun time. After church Brandon took me to lunch then we headed home for nap time!!

I was not able to see my mom on Mother's Day but we talked and I will see her soon! Thanks mom for always setting an amazing example and for being such a Super Mom!!

I want to thank all the mothers in my life. Thank you for all your advice given and shown by example. I have been blessed!
