I'm 14 months old now and wanted to share with the world!
I had a good month. I started walking on January 10th with the help of Grammy. I soon was walking all over the house. Mommy likes that she can put me down, but I have decided to only walk were I want to, not were mommy wants me to. I have added a few words to my vocabulary, dada (when he comes home!), ball (I say dall), and thank you (tank-tank). I do say mama some but only when I want someone to pick me up.
I have had two great friends over at my house almost everyday this month. Mommy is keeping them in the morning and afternoon. I love playing with Jackson (11 month) and Blake (3 yrs). I am learning to share more because of them. Blake taught me to climb on my climber that Mimi got me for my birthday!
I had surgery the week I turned 14 months to fix my finger. Mommy thought it would slow me down but it has not. I have decided to stop sleeping at night, or at least in the middle of the night! Mommy does not find this funny but I am real good at crying, I have learned to hit very high octaves that can be heard through two shut doors!
My favorite toy is a ball. I have small ones and some bigger ones. I love to throw the ball and then chase after it. Daddy even let me play with his big boy football. It is a little to big to hold in one hand but I can pick it up if I use my face and splinted arm. I have also learned to ride my lion, the push toy my Grandma Liz got me. Daddy made it into a riding lion and I love to sit on it and play the music.
I saw my first snow! I did not like being out in it even in daddy's arms, but it was fun to look at through Mimi's back door. Mimi gave me some to hold but I didn't like that either. I guess I take after my mommy and don't like to be cold.
I have started feeding my self at almost every meal. Mommy still likes to feed me oatmeal in the mornings and I let her. I will let you feed me the food off your plate also. I like to eat noddles (any kind), veggies, and bread.
I love to play with my cousins. I am sad that Bryce, Laura, and Benjamin moved to Tulsa, but know I will still see them at Grammy and Papa's house. Mommy also said we could go see them soon. Georgia and I play together great. She shares with me and I try to share with her. I don't like all the dolls she carries so I throw them on the floor but Mommy says "No". Georgia always gives wonderful hugs and kisses.
I have had to go to time out a few times but not often and I normally don't repeat my actions. Mommy has to sit with her back to me to get me to stay but she does not talk to me for a whole minute! The only good thing about it is that I get hugs and kisses after I get up.
I think that is about all I have on the last month of my life. It has been exciting with lots of new things, but I am moving on now.... Who knows what I'll learn to do this month!!
Love, Eli
Mommy said she will post pictures soon!!
